Potomac District’s Eagle Required Merit Badge Day
This is a periodic event sponsored by Potomac District to assist prospective eagle scouts to complete their eagle-required merit badges.
If you have completed the requirements for an eagle-required merit badge but are in need of a merit badge counselor to sign off on it, then this is the event for you.
Events are held at Potomac LDS Church, 11700 Falls Rd, Potomac MD and are announced on a periodic basis. The event scheduled for Oct 15, 2016 has been cancelled due to low attendance but another event may be scheduled in the Spring of 2017. An event notice will be displayed on the Potomac Calendar to enable scouts and MB Counselors to sign up.
Note: advanced preparation by scouts is required.
What Do Scouts Need to Bring?
Your partial merit badge blue card, signed by your unit leader, for Eagle-required merit badges only, indicating requirements already completed.
Evidence that you have completed the requirements you were unable to complete previously, for example:
- Actual items created or worked on;
- If items cannot be brought because of size or other logistics, some evidence of completions signed by the unit leader;
- Photographs or videos, if appropriate; and
- All written work, including worksheets and drawings.
The Potomac District will have merit badge counselors available to meet and discuss progress with you, and where appropriate sign off blue cards for completed work.
