The YPT was revised and implemented earlier this year. The BSA has directed that members take the new YPT by 30 September 2018. It is a mandatory if you serve as a registered volunteer and/or are present at a Scouting activity for a total of 72 hours or more.
You need to take the new YPT if you took YPT before MAY 2018.
This includes Merit Badge Counselors.
